Instant saffron Sago (sabudana) kheer recipe

Ingredients :
  • 1 cup sago (Sabudana)
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar or sugar to taste 
  • 1/4 tsp green cardamom powder
  • a pinch of saffron (soaked in 4 tbsp water)
  •  1 tbsp chopped pistachio and (more dry fruits your choice)

Method :

Wash and soak the sago with 1/2 cup water for 3-4 hours or overnight. Heat a pan, add soaked sago, sugar and 1/4 cup water. Mix well.  Cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame. Now add milk and mix well. Let it cook for another २-३ minutes on medium flame. Add saffron water, mix well. Add cardamom powder and pistachio or more dry fruits. Mix well. Turn off the flame. Serve it warm or cool.
