Instant Potato pickle (Aloo ka achar) recipe




Ingredients :

  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 4 tbs roasted white or brown sesame seeds 
  • 2-3 green chillies 
  • salt to taste 
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1tsp mustard seeds, fennel seeds, and fenugreek seeds mix
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice 
  • 1 tbsp oil 
Method :

In a grinder add roasted sesame seeds and green chili, grind to a fine powder. In a plate, add boiled potatoes, salt and sesame powder. Mix well. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, fennel, fenugreek seeds and crackle them. Now add red chilli powder and turmeric. Just add potato mixture and stir. Turn off the flame. Mix lemon juice. Serve it with puri, paratha, chapati etc.
