Gobi-Mutter (Cauliflower-green peas) ki sabzi recipe



Ingredients : 

  • 1/2 kg. cauliflower (Gobi), chopped 
  • 1 bowl fresh green peas (mutter daana)
  • 2 pieces tomatoes, chopped 
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2  tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp ginger paste 
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  •  chopped coriander leaves for garnishing 

Method :

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin and bay leaf, saute until lightly brown. After few seconds, add cauliflower, salt, and mix. Cover and cook for a minute on medium flame. Add green peas, saute for few seconds. Now add all spices, ginger paste, and chopped tomatoes. Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes on lower flame. Now open the pan and mix well. Add a cup of water. Cover and cook until the vegetables are done. Turn of the flame. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve it with chapati, rice, paratha, puri.
