Instant Poha (pressed rice) balls recipe

Ingredients :
  • 2 cups thin poha (pressed rice)
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour (maida)
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped 
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 medium onion, chopped 
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated or pasts
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped 
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1 tsp cumin powder 
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt to taste 
  • oil for deep frying 
Method : 

Soak poha in water. Drain it and keep aside. Add in all ingredients except oil. Add 1/4 cup water. Mix well. And make a soft dough. Take small portion of the poha dough or mixture and make it to small balls. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Drop the poha balls gently in hot oil and deep fry till the balls turn golden color and crisp. Drain it in kitchen towel. Serve it hot with any sauce and chutney.
