Tangy and spicy fried chickpeas recipe

Ingredients :
  • 1 cup chickpeas 
  • oil for deep frying 
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black salt 
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1 tbsp chaat masala 
  • 1/4 tsp of citric acid powder for sour taste (optional) 
Method :
Wash and soak chickpeas overnight or 7-8 hours in water and drain it. Take muslin cloth, spread soaked chickpeas on it. And keep aside for 1 hour at room. Now heat oil in a frying pan. Deep fry chickpeas in hot oil on high flame. Fry them till chickpeas are light brown and crispy. Take them out and place on an absorbent paper towel to get rid of the excess oil. Repeat the same for frying all chickpeas. Keep them aside for 15-20 minutes. Sprinkle the spices, citric acid powder and salt on the fried chickpeas and toss them. Serve it with raw chopped onion and lime juice. Serve it teatime snack.
