Dahi- pyaz ki (Onion-curd spicy curry) spicy curry recipe




Ingredients :
  • 2 large Onions, peeled and cut into 4 parts 
  • 2 green chillies, chopped 
  • 4 tbsp curd (Dahi)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds 
  • 1/2 tsp onion seeds
  • 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds 
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds, crushed 
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 1 tsp ginger paste 
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder 
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala 
  • salt to taste 
  • 2 tbsp oil 
Method :

Heat oil in a pan add all seeds. When seeds start to crackle, add curry leaves and green chilli. Add all spices to the pan. Mix well. Add ginger paste, saute for few seconds. Add chopped onion and salt, saute for 2-3 minutes on medium flame. Add 1 cup water. Let it cook covered for 2-3 minutes on medium flame. Now add curd and mix well. Let it cook for 1 minute. Turn off the flame. Serve it chapati, paratha, rice.
