Rajsthani dal pakoda 

Ingredients :
  • 1/4 cup split Bengal gram (chana dal)
  • 1/4 cup yellow split Moong bean (peeli moong dal)
  • 1/4 whole green gram (sabut moong)
  • 1/4 cup split black gram (safed urad dal)
  • 1/4 cup black eyed beans (chawli) 
  • 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped 
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste or a small piece ginger 
  • 5-6 garlic 
  • 2 pinches Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 2 tbsp fennel seeds 
  • 2 tbsp coriander seeds, crushed slightly
  •  salt to taste 
  • 2-3 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped 
  • Oil for deep frying
Method :

Rinse and soak all pulses (Dals) together for 5-6 hours. In a jar, add soaked dal, garlic, ginger and grind them. Mix the rest of the ingredients except oil to the ground dal mix. Heat oil in a pan. Take a handful or dal mixture and slowly slide it into the hot oil. Deep fry them till they are golden brown colour. Now drain the oil on them on a plate or tissue paper. Serve it hot with any sauce or chutney.
