Instant Bread Chaat Recipe





Ingredients : 
  • 4 slices of bread 
  • 1 potato, boiled, peeled and mashed 
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped 
  • 2-3 tbsp sweet tamarind chutney (imli ki chatni)
  • 4 tbsp whisked thick curd 
  • 2 tbsp aloo bhujia
  • 1 tbsp roasted peanuts 
  • some seasonally fresh fruits, chopped (ripe mango, pomegranate, kiwi, etc.)
  • 1 tsp chaat masala 
  • 1-2 pinches black salt 
  • 1 tbsp mint or coriander leaves, chopped 

Method :

Toast bread on tawa or in toaster till crispy (as shown in a picture below). Cut it circle with a cutter. Take the cut-out bread and put mashed potato and sprinkle a pinch of black salt over it. Add chopped onion, sweet chutney, sprinkle chopped fruits, chaat masala, peanuts, aloo bhujia and mint or coriander on top. Add curd and again sprinkle all fruits, aloo bhujia, chaat masala, sweet chutney, and coriander or mint leaves. Sprinkle on top crushed some roughly chopped toasted bread edges. Serve it immediately.

Note: 
You can add chopped green chilli or spicy green chutney for spicy chaat. You can also eat bread chaat without curd to make this dish vegan.
