Green gram sprouts with red potato ( Ankurit Moong-Aloo) sabzi recipe




Ingredients :

  • 1 cup green moong sprouts (Ankurit Moong)
  • 2 red potatoes or any potatoes, boiled and cut into cubes
  • 1 medium onion paste
  • 1 tsp garlic-ginger paste 
  • 1 small onion, chopped 
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp oil 
  • salt to taste 
Method :

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and crackle. Add chopped onion and saute for 1 minute. Add garlic-ginger paste and onion paste. Cook for 2 minutes on medium flame. Add all spices and salt, saute for few seconds. Now add sprouted green moong and cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame. Add potato and mix well. Add 1 cup of water and cook for 5-7 minutes on medium flame. Turn off the flame. Add lemon juice and mix well. Serve it with rice, roti, pav and bread.
