Drumstick and potato curry recipe

  • 2-3 Drumsticks, peeled and cut into pieces 
  • 2 big potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes 
  • 1 big tomato, chopped 
  • salt to taste 
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp oil 
For the masala paste-
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard seeds
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4-5 garlic cloves 
  • 2 green chillies 
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 

In a mixer blender's jar, add all ingredients for the masala paste. Make a fine paste and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard and cumin seeds, crackle them. Add potato, drumstick and salt, mix well, and cover with a lid and cook on medium flame. After few minutes open the lid and let it cook that way. Now add masala paste, tomato and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame. Add 1 bowl of water and mix well, cover again with a lid now and cook. Now after some time, check whether your sabzi is soft. If i is soft, switch off the flame. Serve it with rice, roti.
