Instant Bread Dahi vada recipe

Ingredients : 
For vada,
  • 4-5 pieces of bread 
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • a pinch of salt 
  • few curry leaves, finely chopped
  • oil for frying 
For curd,
  • 1 cup thick curd 
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt 
  • some black salt, roasted cumin powder and red chilli powder 
  • 1-2 tbspTamarind sweet chutney for garnishing 
  • some Aloo bhujiya or any namkin sev for serving
Method :
Combine the curd, salt and sugar in a bowl, mix well and keep aside.
Cut the bread's edge and break the trimmed bread with hand. Sprinkle 4-5 tbsp water over them and keep aside for 5 minutes. After few seconds, add red chilli powder, salt and curry leaves. Mix well and make a smooth dough. Divide the dough into 4-5 portions. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Wet the palms and take a bread dough portion and place over your palm, flatten to round shape and make a hole in the centre looking like doughnut now with other hand wet fingers slowly side vada into the hot oil. Fry the vadas from both sides to golden brown colour. Now take enough water in a deep bowl and soak the vadas in it for few seconds. Squeeze out all the excess water from the vadas, add into curd mixture and keep aside for 5 minutes. Arrange 2-3 vadas on a serving plate and top with a little cumin powder, red chilli powder, black salt, tamarind chutney. Sprinkle some aloo bhujiya or any namkin sev and serve it immediately.
