Crispy Nachos Recipe


For the nachos:
  • 1 cup maize flour (makai ka atta)
  • 1 tbsp rice flour
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour 
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala powder  
  • 1 tbsp oil 
  • 1/4 tsp salt 
  • water as required 
  • oil for frying 
For the dip:
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped 
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped 
  • 2 garlic, finely chopped 
  •  4 tbsp mayonnaise 
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder 
  • 2 pinches salt 
  • 1 tbsp curd 
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce 
  • 1-2 tbsp Olive oil 

To make crispy Nachos chips:

Sieve the flours. Combine all ingredients in a big bowl and mix well. Use enough water to knead into a soft dough. Divide the dough into equal portions. Roll a portion into a small circle using a little plain flour (maida) and prick it evenly with a fork. Heat a tawa (griddle pan) and cook all maize dough circles on both sides for few seconds on medium flame. Cut into equal triangles using a pizza cutter or knife and keep aside.

Heat oil in a frying pan and deep-fry a few nachos chips at a time on a medium flame till they turn crisp and golden brown in colour on both the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper. Cool them and store in an air-tight container. Serve it with any dip or salsa of your liking.

To make the dip: 

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. Serve it with nachos.
