Chinese mix vegetables wonton recipe

For the dough,
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cornflour 
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter 
  • warm water, as required 
  • Oil for frying 
For the filling,
  • 1 cup mix vegetables,(french beans, carrot and zucchini or any vegetables), finely chopped 
  • 1/2 cup spring onion, finely chopped 
  • 1 tbsp garlic, grated 
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped   
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder 
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder 
  • salt to taste 
  • 1 tbsp oil 
  • 1 tsp cornflour + little water, mix them 
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce 
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar or white vinegar 
  • 1 tbsp tomato catchup
Method :

To the dough 
In a big bowl add flour, corn flour, salt and butter or oil. Mix well. Add warm water and make a smooth dough. Keep it aside for resting.

To make filling 
Heat oil in a pan, add garlic, spring onion, green chilli and saute for few seconds. Add all mix vegetables and salt and saute for 2 minutes. Add all spices, cornflour liquid and stir for few seconds. Now add vinegar, tomato catchup and soya sauce. Mix it well. Turn off the flame.

For assembling 
Divide the dough into small balls and roll out each one into a thin circle. Now put the filling in the centre of each circle or poori. Take some drops of water and apply to the half edge to seal it by folding. Again join the two edges by applying some drops water. You can refer images below for picture tutorial for the same. You have to follow the same process with every poori.
Heat oil in a frying pan, deep fry them till golden brown in colour and crisp. Remove them on a kitchen towel or tissue paper. Serve it hot with tomato sauce.
