Ragi (nachni) with sprouts cutlets recipe (Very Healthy and tasty recipe)




Ingredients :
  • 1/2 cup whole ragi (Nachni), soaked overnight and drained or raw ragi 
  • 2 potatoes, boiled and grated or mashed 
  • 1/2 cup green gram sprouts (sprouted moong)
  • 1 medium sized onion, chopped
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 2 tbsp cornflour 
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped 
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt to taste 
  • 1/2 lime juice 
  • Oats meal and bread crumbs mixture for rolling 
  • Oil for shallow frying 
Method :

Crush soaked ragi in a grinder. In a big bowl, add potato, onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, salt, sprouts, cornflour, crushed ragi, all spices powder and lime juice. Mix well. Divide the mixture into 10-12 equal portions and make a flatten disc shape. Roll each kebab in oats and bread crumbs mixture till they are coated evenly from all the sides. Heat a non-stick pan or tawa, grease it with 1 tbsp oil, place 4 kebabs and cook on slow flame using little oil till both sides turn golden brown in colour. Remove on a palate. Serve it hot with any sauce or chutney.
