Quick Soya Burger Patty Recipe

  • 1 cup soya chunks, boiled, squeezed and crushed with hand 
  • 4 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and grated 
  • 1 onion, finely chopped 
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped 
  • 2 tbsps coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp cornflour 
  • 1/2 lime juice 
  • 2-3 tbsps Sprig Genoa spice blend
  • salt to taste 
  • Oat for rolling 
  • Oil for shallow frying 
Combine all the ingredients in a big bowl and mix well. Divide the mixture 8-9 equal portions and shape each portion into a flat round tikki or kebab. Roll each kebab in oats till it is evenly coated from all the sides. Heat a pan or tawa and cook 4 kebabs at a time, on a medium flame using little oil till they turn golden brown in colour on both sides. Remove them on a plate and serve it with any sauce or chutney or enjoy it between burger buns.
