Mysore Bonda recipe



Ingredients :
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour 
  • 1/2 cup rice flour 
  • 1/2 cup curd 
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped 
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, grated or finely chopped 
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped 
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda 
  • salt to taste
  • a pinch of Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 4-5 tbsp water 
  • Oil for frying 
Method :
In a big bowl, add all-purpose flour, rice flour, green chilli, cumin seeds, baking soda, salt, coriander leaves, ginger, asafoetida and mix them. Add curd mix it well and add water to make a thick batter and keep aside for about 30 minutes. 
Heat oil to fry, make  into small round bondas and put into the oil, fry in a golden brown colour. Remove the Mysore Bonda from the oil on the plate or kitchen towels. Serve it with coconut chutney or other chutney.
