Spicy Aloo-Gobi (cauliflower with potato) curry recipe



Ingredients :

  • 1small piece cauliflower, chopped 
  • 2 big potatoes, boil, peel and broke  
  • 1 onion, chopped 
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste 
  • 2 tbsp onion paste 
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped 
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder 
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder 
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder 
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder 
  • salt to taste 
  • 3 tbsp oil 
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 bay leaf 
  • 1 tbsp deshi ghee 
Method :
Heat 1 tbsp oil in pan, add cauliflower, saute for 5 minutes on medium flame. Add potato and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. In the same pan, add 2 tbsp of oil, cumin seeds and bay leaf. Add chopped onion and saute for 1 minute. Add, onion and ginger paste, saute for 2-3 minutes on medium flame. Add all spices powder and salt mix them. Add tomato and saute for 5 minutes on medium flame. Add fried Aloo-gobi and mix them. Add 1 bowl water and cook for 8-10 minutes on medium flame. Now add, 1 tbsp ghee and mix well. Turn off the flame. Surve it with chapati, chawal, puri and paratha.
