Potato and oatmeal sandwich (Healthy) recipe





Ingredients :

  • 8 slices whole wheat bread 
  • 4 potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal 
  • 1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds 
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped 
  • 1 tsp lemon juice 
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder 
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped 
  • 1 big Tomato, cut into round slices
  • 1 onion, cut into round slices
  • 4 tbsp green chutney (Hari chutney)

Method :
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin and crackle it. Add, ginger and green chilli saute for few seconds. Add mashed potato, salt, red chilli powder and saute for 5 minutes on medium flame. Add oatmeal and saute for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the flame. Add coriander leaves, lemon juice and sesame seeds and mix well. Spread some chutney on two slices of bread. Spread  some filling on one bread. Place tomato slice, onion slices and sprinkle pepper powder.Cover with another bread and toast them. Cut into two parts. Serve it hot with hari chatney or sauce.
