Homemade bananas chips or wafers recipe

Ingredients :

  • 2 raw bananas 
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1/2 salt 
  • oil for deep frying 
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder, black pepper powder, black salt and chaat masala for seasoning 

Method :
Peel raw bananas. Take water in a big bowl, add salt and turmeric powder into it and mix well. Cut the bananas with the sharp knife or chips cutter into thin slices. Let the banana soak in turmeric and salted water for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, transfer the slices bananas on the sieve to drain excess water from it. After that, spread them on a kitchen towel for 20 minutes. Let them dry completely.Heat oil in a pan to deep fry the wafers. Drop a banana slice to check whether the oil is aptly hot or not. Then put as many chips or wafers as possible into the oil and keep the flame low. Fry them on low flame until they become crisp. It can 3-4 minutes for them to turn crisp. Take out the fried banana chips on kitchen paper towel. Similarly fry rest of the chips. Sprinkle red chilli powder, black pepper, black salt and chaat masala and serve it. You can store in an airtight container for some time.
