Tomato-onion chutney recipe in south Indian style

Ingredients :
  • 4 tomatoes, chopped 
  • 2 onions medium, chopped 
  • 2 green chillies 
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder 
  • salt to taste 
  • 2 tbsp oil 
Methode :
Heat oil in a pan, add onion, green chilli and curry leaves and saute till the light brown. Add tomatoes, red chilli powder and salt. Saute till the tomatoes become soft, pulpy and are completely cooked. Remove from the heat. Cool this onion-tomatoes mixture and then grind in a grinder, no need to add water while grinding and grind to a smooth chutney. Pour the chutney in a bowl. Serve it with idli, dosa or any paratha.
