Tasty onion pakoda recipe


 Onion pakoda 

Ingredients :
  • 2 big onion and cut it lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour 
  • 2 tbsp gram flour 
  • 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped 
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 
  • 1/4 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1/4 tsp carom seeds
  • 1/4 tsp onion seeds (kalonji)
  • salt to taste
  • Oil for frying 
Method :
In a big bowl, add onion, green chilli, flour, gram flour, turmeric, red chilli powder, salt and all seeds. Mix everything well. Add 4-5 tbsps water and mix the flour to make a moist dough. Do not pour water, just sprinkle to get the dough right. Sprinkle more water as needed. Heat oil in a deep fry pan and take small portions and drop them in the oil. Deep fry on medium heat till golden brown color and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve it hot.
