Neer dosa recipe



Ingredients :
  • 2 cups Raw rice
  • 1/2 cup coconut, grated or small pieces 
  • 1/2 tsp salt 
  • 3 cup water
  • 2 tbsps oil for dosa 
Method : 
Wash rice and soak overnight or for 5-6 hours. Now remove excess water. In a blender, add soaked rice and coconut and grind them. Now add a cup water for grinding the rice and coconut. Grind to a smooth batter and transfer it to a big bowl. Add salt and more water to get a thin flowing watery consistency and mix well.
Heat a non-stick tava over medium-high flame. Now sprinkle few drops of water to check whether the tava is sufficiently hot or not. When the water drops starts bubbling and evaporates, rub the tava with a cotton cloth. Now mix the batter and take a ladle full of batter. Then pour the batter moving outwards to inside like the way we do for rawa dosa. Fill in the big gaps too with some of the batter. Cover with a lid and cook for 1 minute. And cook the neer dosa till done. Now make a triangular fold on the tava itself. Then remove the neer dosa and it in a plate. Serve it coconut chutney or any chutney.
