Lemon rice recipe

Ingredients :
  • 1 bowl cooked rice 
  • 2 tbsp peanuts 
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp sambhar masala or garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • a pinch of asafoetida (Hing)
  • salt to taste 
  • 1 red chilli, finely chopped or green chilli
  • few curry leaves 
  • 1/4 tsp Bengal gram (chana dal)
  • 1/4 tsp Urad dal
  • 2 tbsp oil 
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
Method :

Take oil in a pan and once hot, fry the peanuts until light golden brown in colour and keep aside. Now, in the same pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, red chilli, chana dal, urad dal and crackle them. Add curry leaves and just add rice. Add, all spices powder and salt, mix well. Add fried peanuts and stir. Turn off the flame. Add lemon juice and mix well. Serve it hot-hot.
