Jackfruit seeds(kathal ke beej) ki sabzi recipe




Ingredients :

  • 1 cup jackfruit seeds 
  • 1 onion, chopped 
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 bay leaf 
  • salt to taste 
  • 2 tbsp onion paste 
  • 1 tsp ginger paste 
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder 
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder 
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala 
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 cup water


Method :
Wash the jackfruit seeds properly and then pressure cooker cook for 3-4 whistles with a glass of water. After cool, peel the boiled seeds skin and then chop them lengthwise into 2 pieces. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and bay leaf. When start crackling, add onion and saute for a minute. Now add onion and ginger paste. Add all the spices and salt, saute for 2-3 minutes on the medium flame. Now add jackfruit seeds, mix well and add 1/2 cup water. And cook it for 5 minutes on the medium low flame. Turn off the flame. Serve with roti, thepla etc.
