Almonds milk (A healthy milk) recipe

My kids do not like eating soaked almonds. So I made almond milk! I used saffron and cardamom to flavour my almond milk.I used sugar to sweeten, because let's face it: Children love sweet stuff. But you can also use honey or have it without any sweetener at all.
Almond milk is a drink made from ground almonds, and is often used as a substitute for dairy milk. It is way more healthier than dairy milk, has no lactose, and is completely vegan!

Ingredients :
  • 20-25 pieces Almonds 
  • 2 tbsp sugar or honey for sweeten (I used sugar for kids)
  • few saffron strands 
  • 4 cardamom seeds for flavor 
  • 1-2 glasses water 

Method :
Soak saffron in 2 tbsp water and keep aside for 10 minutes.
Soak almonds in water overnight. Drain water in the morning and peel all the almonds. Now, in a blender, add almonds, sugar, saffron, cardamom seeds. Now, blend at highest speed until it forms a very smooth paste. Now, add 1/2 cup water and blend again. Transfer in another jug or big bowl and add more glasses of water and mix well. Strain it through a muslin cloth to get rid of large granules of almond. Chill it in the fridge and enjoy.

Tip: For maximum benefit, drink almond milk in an empty stomach every morning.
