Kusum(Safflower leaves) ka saag recipe

Kushum ka saag 

Ingredients :

  • 1 bunch of Safflower leaves (Kusum ka saag)
  • 1 onion finely chopped 
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • salt to taste 
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil or any vegetables oil

Method :
Wash, clean and cut safflower leaves. In a pan or pressure cooker bring 1/2 cup water to boil and add saag. Cook for 5-7 minutes in a pan or 1-2  whistles in the pressure cooker until leaves becomes soft. Remove from the heat and cool down for some time. In a blender, blend it and make a smooth paste. Heat oil in a pan, add onion saute for few seconds. Add saag paste, salt and stir for 1-2 minutes and remove from heat. And add chopped green chillies and mix well. Serve it with any flour roti or paratha.
