Til-Gud ki Ladoo (sesame seeds with jaggery balls) recipe

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups of Til (white or brown sesame seeds)
  • 1/2 cup chikki gud ( jaggery)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/4 tsp ghee or water or water 

Method :
In a pan dry roast the sesame seeds in medium flame until they pop, and becomes light brown in colour then remove them. And keep them aside. Now use same pan, add jaggery and water. Let the jaggery melt for 5-7 minutes. Now cook on medium flame until syrup is perfectly done by taking a bowl with water and adding jaggery syrup, if you can make a ball of it then the syrup is ready then turn off the flame. Now add roasted sesame seeds and constantly mix it and transfer to a plate or butter paper. Let the mixture cool down for 5 minutes. When the mixture is still lukewarm but not hot. Now grease your palm with ghee or oil or water, take about 1 tbsp mixture and make a round ball between your palms as shown in following pictures. Your Til-Gud ki ladoo are ready, these ladoo are stored in air tight container for 1-2 months.
