Makki ki roti recipe

Makki ki Roti Sarson ka saag 

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups Corn meal or Maize flour (Makki ka aata)
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (Gehun ka atta)
  • 1/2 tsp salt 
  • Water 
  • Butter for garnishing 

Method :
In a bowl, add sieved maize flour, salt  and whole wheat flour. Now add water to it and knead well such that the dough is neither hard and nor soft, just the right consistency. Now divide the dough into 7-8 equal parts. And shape into a medium balls.When the dough is very soft and smooth, break a lump and shape into a ball, flatten and pat with palm, to make a medium-sized roti. Now use dry wheat flour to help shaping and roll with rolling pin. Place on a heated heavy -duty tawa and cook till crisp, repeat on both sides. Repeat for all rotis, remove and keep aside. Garnish with 1 tbsp butter. Serve with Sarson ka saag, palak saag.
