Rava (Semolina) dosa recipe

Rava Dosa 

Ingredients : 
  • 1 cup Rava or sooji (semolina)
  • 2 tbsp rice flour (chawal ka atta)
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour (maida)
  • 2 chopped green chillies 
  • 8-10 chopped curry leaves or coriander leaves 
  • A pinch of Asafoetida (Hing)
  • salt to taste 
  • little oil 
  • 3 cups of water 

Method :
In a large bowl, add semolina, rice flour, all purpose flour and mix. Now add, water and make a thin batter. Now keep aside for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes add all other ingredients to the batter including salt, green chillies, chopped curry leaves, hing. And mix it well. Now, heat the non-stick tawa on medium high flame. To check if tawa is ready sprinkle few drops of oil. Now pour the batter with ladle on the tawa in a circular motion starting from the periphery to the center. Now sprinkle 1/2 tsp of oil around dosa. Cook dosa over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes. Now, turn the Dosa using spatula. Let Dosa cook for about 1 minute from other side. Now Dosa will be golden brown on one side and light color on other side. Rava Dosa is ready to serve with chutney and Sambhar.
