Crispy dried methi khakhra recipe

Crispy methi khakhra 

Ingredients :
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour 
  • 1 tbsp gram flour 
  • 2-3 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves(sukhi Methi ki patti) 
  • 1/2 tsp or salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp vegetables oil for dough 
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder 
  • a pinch of Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 2-3 tbsp oil for shallow frying 

Method :
In a large bowl, add wheat flour, gram flour, dried fengreek leaves, salt, red chilli, turmeric powder, vegetables oil, asafoetida (Hing) and knead into a soft dough using enough water. Keep aside for 10 minutes. . Divide the dough into equal portion and roll out each portion into very thin round with help of a little dried flour. Cook each khakhra lighly for a few second on both sides on a tawa. Apply little oil and cook again on the slow flame until crisp using little pressure with help of a cotton cloth or vegetables masher. Now turn off the flame and allow to cool. Serve it tea time or snacks.
