Kaju Namkeen recipe



Ingredients :
  • 2 cup all purpose flour 
  • 1 tsp carom seeds (Ajwain)
  • 1 tsp onion seeds (Mangrail)
  • 3 tbsp ghee or oil 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying 
  • water 
Method :
In a bowl, add flour, carom and onion seeds, salt, 3 tbsp oil or ghee, and mix well. Now, add enough water to make a firm dough. Now roll out the dough into one big roti of medium thickness. Now use a cutter of your choice to cut shapes out of the roti. To make the crescent shape, I used the sharp edge of  a small cover of a medicine bottle. Now deep fry in hot oil on a medium flame until golden brown and drain on a absorbent paper. Keep aside to cool down before storing in an airtight Jar or container. Serve during tea time.
