Louki, ghiya or dudhi (Bottle gourd) ka halwa recipe


Louki ka halwa 

Ingredients :

  • 1 small bottle gourd(louki, dudhi) peeled and grated 
  • 4 tbsp deshi ghee
  • 1 cup khoya 
  • 1/2 cup sugar 
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder 
  • 5-7 chopped Almonds for garnishing 
Method :
Boil grated bottle gourd or louki in little water for about 5 minutes. Now drain and keep aside.
Now heat ghee in a pan, add louki and sugar and cook till sugar crystal dissolves. After 10 minutes, add khoya and mix well. When halwa start leaving ghee, mix cardamom powder and turn off the flame. Now garnish with Almonds. Serve it hot or cool.
