Vegetarian momos with healthy stuffing recipe



Ingredients:
For Dough,
  • 2 cups plain flour (maida)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder 
  • Water as needed 
For stuffing,

  • 1 capsicum finely chopped
  • 15-20 soya chunks, boil and finely chopped 
  • 4 tbsp sweet corn 
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 5 garlic cloves finely chopped 
  • 2 green chillies finely chopped
  • salt to taste 
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce 
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder 
  • 1 tbsp schezwan sauce 
  • 1 tbsp cooking vinegar 
  • 2 tbsp oil

Method:
For the dough,

In a big bowl add, maida, salt,oil, baking powder and mix well. Now knead to a stiff dough with water and keep a side.

 For the stuffing,

Now heat oil in a pan add, chopped garlic, onion, green chillies and capsicum, salt and saute for a minute. Now add chopped soya chunks, corn and saute for a minute. After few seconds, add schezwan sauce, soya sauce, sugar, black pepper and vinegar and mix well and turn off the heat and keep aside for cooling. Now take out a small lump from the dough, shape it like lemon and flatten it with roller. Now put mix vegetables in the center of the flattened dough and bring edges together to cover the filling. Twist to seal and fill the rest in the same way. Now steam it for about 10-12 minutes. Serve it with soya sauce and chilli sauce.
