Corn meal (Makai atta ka) pizza, Indian style recipe ( Healthy and tasty)

Ingredients for 6-7 base of pizza or rotis :

For dough,
  • 2 cups corn meal (makai atta ) 
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil 
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • water to knead 
Pizza topping Ingredients,
  • 1 capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp grated garlic
  • 1-2 tomatoes finely chopped 
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese (paneer) block 
  • 1 cup of grated cheese
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder 
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste
  • 4-5 tbsp tomato sauce or pizza sauce
  • salt to taste
  • For serving chilli flakes and tomato sauce 
Method :
First, for making maize dough and base or rotis:

In a big bowl, add corn meal, wheat flour, salt, oil and mix well. Now add little water at a time and knead in a soft pliable dough. When the dough is very soft and smooth, break a lump and shape into a ball, flatten and pat with palm, to make a medium-sized base or roti. Use dry wheat flour to help shaping and roll with rolling pin. Take care to dust with flour and prick with a fork and lift and turn to avoid sticking. Now, place on a heated heavy-duty tawa and cook till crisp, repeat on both sides. Repeat for all base or rotis and remove and keep aside.

Now, make pizza topping,
Heat a tbsp oil in a pan, add onion, garlic, capsicum and tomatoes and stir it for 5 minutes. Add, salt, black pepper, cottage cheese (paneer) and mix well. Now, remove from the heat. Now firstly layer pizza sauce or tomato sauce and then spread stir-fried vegetables and cover with grated cheese each pizza base. Now heat tawa or pan, put the maize pizza on it and cover it with a lid and cook for 5 minutes on the medium and low flame until the cheese gets melted. Remove from the flame and cut it into slices using a pizza cutter. Now sprinkle chilli flakes and serve hot with tomato sauce.
