Moong ki (green gram) chchilke wali Dal cheela recipe


Ready to eat 

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup chchilke wali moong(Green gram)dal
  • 1/2 onion finely chopped 
  • 1 tomato finely chopped
  • 1 grated carrot 
  • 1/2 capsicum finely chopped 
  • 2 green chillies 
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 small piece ginger 
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Water as required 
Method :
Soak moong dal in water for 3-4 hours. Now drain of all water and grind the soaked moong dal with garlic-ginger, green chillies in to a smooth paste and remove in a big bowl. Now add in a ground mixture, grated carrot, chopped tomato, capsicum, onion, salt, turmeric powder and roasted cumin and mix well. Add water if required, to get dropping consistency. Now grease the non-stick tawa with few drops oil and heat. Now pour the mixture into the non-stick tawa. Cook the cheela from both sides till it turns golden brown and remove in a plate. Serve hot with onion slices and any chutney.
