Bombay Karanchi Halwa(Fresh Strawberry flavour) recipe

Bombay Karanchi halwa 

Ingredients :
  • 1/2 cup Cornflour 
  • 1 cup sugar 
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup fresh Strawberry puree 
  • 4 tbsp Deshi Ghee  
  • 2 tbsp chopped cashews nuts 
  • 1/2 tsp Ghee for greasd  

Take cornflour in a bowl and add 1 cup of water and mix well so no lumps are formed.
Now in a heavy bottom pan, add 1 cup of water and sugar, heat till the sugar is melted. Now the sugar  must be melted, pour the cornflour mixture and mix well. Now put this on medium  flame and keep whisking till it is thick as a jelly like. Now add 2 tbsp of ghee and keep mixing to fast. Now add strawberry puree and  mix well. After 5 minutes add 2 tbsp of ghee and mix well. Now it will get non sticky. At one stage the halwa will leave the sides of the pan and switch off the flame. and add cashew nuts and mix. Now pour into greased plate and keep aside, set for 1-2 hours. After cool cut it into a diamond shape.
