Dhaniyan patta (fresh coriander leaves) thepla or paratha recipe

Dhaniyan patta ka thepla 
What is thepla ? Thepla is a flat Indian bread. Made of wheat flour, gram flour, some Indian spices fenugreek leaves  but i used fresh coriander leaves, so i called coriander leaves thepla or paratha. I tried a new recipe, its very tasty. Theplas or paratha are healthy and tasty.

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup wheat flour 
  • 2 tbsp gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves (cata hua dhaniyan patta)finely chopped 
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garlic paste or 1 pinch asafoetida (Hing)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste
  • water as needed 
  • oil for shallow fry 


Method :
In a large bowl or plate, add wheat flour, gram flour, oil, salt, red chilli, turmeric powder, garlic paste or hing, finely chopped coriander leaves, and mix well. Now add water to make a soft dough. Now divide into 4-5 equal sized balls. Now take a ball, dip into dry flour roll like a roti. Now 1 tsp oil and shallow fry on a tava until both sides are golden brown color. Serve hot or cool with raita, chutney, curd.
