Gobi(Cauliflower) korma recipe

Gobi(Cauliflower) korma 

I make any kind of gobi sabzi like; gobi-mutter, aloo-gobi, gobi kofta etc. I made this almost daily, when it was in season. We all love this sabzi. My kids loves gobi (cauliflower). I think daily same recipe is not like our family. So I cooked a different type recipe its name is Gobi Korma. This is a different and delicious recipe for all the cauliflower (gobi) lovers. This is a very tasty sabzi.

Ingredients :

  • 1 small cauliflower(Gobi) clean and chopped
  • 10-15 cashew nuts 
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 large tomatoes puree
  • 1 tsp garlic- ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp onion paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder 
  • 1 tbsp kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt to taste 
  • 2 tbsp oil for frying cauliflower 
  • 1 tbsp deshi ghee or butter 
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream for garnish 
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, add  cauliflower, cashew nuts and till them fry light golden brown color. Now remove it to a plate and keep aside. Now heat ghee or butter in the same pan and add cumin seeds when the seeds crackle, add chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes on the medium flame.  Now add garlic-ginger paste and after 30 seconds add onion paste and saute for 2 minute. Now add all spices powder, salt and mix well. After 1 minute, add tomato puree and cook till the oil leaves the sides. Now add fried cauliflower and cashew nuts and add a small bowl of water and cook for 5-6 minutes of medium flame. Now add a tbsp fresh cream and mix well and turn off the flame. Now garnish with a tbsp fresh cream and serve with rice, pulao, paratha, puri.
