Wheat flour (gehun atta) and oatmeal cheela recipe


Wheat flour and oatmeal cheela 

Cheela is a sort of vegetarian omelette prepared with wheat flour, oatmeal and some vegetables. Cheela is simple to cook and great to eat. Everybody cooks besan (gram flour) cheela, rice flour cheela. I remember, my mother made different types of cheela; wheat flour and oatmeal cheela for healthy breakfast, yummy and delicious tasting. This is very healthy, tasty and tempting looking. So, I am telling you how to make wheat flour and oatmeal cheela with some vegetables and spices today.

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup wheat flour 
  • 1/2 cup Oatmeal flour or powder 
  • 1/2 cup cauliflower finely chopped
  • 1 carrot finely chopped or grated 
  • 1 onion finely chopped 
  • 2 green chilies finely chopped
  • 1 tomato finely chopped 
  • 4-5 garlic cloves finely chopped 
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • salt to taste 
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1 pinch garam masala powder 
  • Oil for shallow fry 
Method :
In  a large bowl, add wheat flour, oatmeal, vegetables, onion, garlic, tomato, green chilli, coriander leaves, salt and all spices powder. Now add sufficient water and mix well and make a smooth and thick batter. Now heat 1 tsp oil in a pan or tawa and pour a ladle full of batter and spread it all around. Now drizzle a little oil all around and cook till the underside is done, on cook the medium flame.. Now flip over and cook other side too. Now remove into a plate and serve hot with chutney.
