Til gud means, til+gud mix ladoo or chikki.Til gud is a famous for India's festival Makkarsankranti.
All Indians eat it on the day of Makkarsankranti. This is a traditional winter season sweet snacks. Its tasty and every person likes it. Til is very rich source of omega 3.  My family loves them so much that I make it all year round. This is a simple recipe made with til and gud.

Ingredients :

  • 200 gm. Sesame seeds (Til) white or brown
  • 50 gm. jaggery(chikki gud)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp ghee for greasing
Method :
In a pan dry roast the sesame seeds (Til) in medium flame until they pop and keep aside. Now in the same pan, add jaggery and water. Let the jaggery melt for 5-7 minutes. Now cook on a medium flame until syrup is perfectly done by taking a small bowl with water and adding jaggery syrup, if you can make a ball of it then the syrup is ready and turn off the flame. Now add roasted sesame seeds and constantly stir it and transfer to a greased plate or butter paper and try to smooth it and start rolling it. Roll it thick or thin as you prefer and keep aside to cool for 30 minutes. Now cut it in desired sizes using a knife and ready to eat.
