Green peas (Muttar) masala curry recipe

Green peas recipes is the most popular indian food item. Generally used with paneer(cottage cheese), aloo(potatoes),spinach(palak) and etc. This item is most used in wedding party, baby birthday party
Everybody likes Green peas recipes. Green peas masala curry is a best side for paratha, chapati, puris and pulao. This recipe is very easy and tasty. This recipe has a yummy taste and restaurant style.

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups green peas (hari muttar)
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp onion paste 
  • 1 tbsp garlic-ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala 
  • 1/2 tsp sugar 
  • salt to taste 
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 star anise 
  • 2 green cardamom 
  • 1 stick cinnamon 
  • 2 cloves 
  • 2 tbsp Raisins 
  • 1 tbsp butter or 2 tbsp oil 
  • 10-12 whole cashew nuts paste 
  •  2 tbsp fresh cream for garnish
Method :
 Boil the green peas for 5-7 minutes and keep aside.
Heat butter or oil in a pan, add cumin, bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, cloves and chopped onion and saute till slightly browned. Now add garlic-ginger paste and saute for 1 minute and add all spices, salt, sugar and stir for 30 second. Now add tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes. Now add raisins, green peas then for 5 minutes stir. Now at last add cashew nuts paste and a bowl of water and mix well and cook for 5 minutes on the medium flame now turn off the flame. Garnish it with fresh cream and serve with paratha, puris, pulao.
