Baby potato in green gravy recipe

Baby potatoes means small potatoes (chhota aloo). Baby potato's recipe is very famous in Indian
dishes. Everybody cooked different varieties recipes, as a dum aloo, stir-fry potato etc. Today, i cooked a " Baby potato in green gravy". In addition to this,fresh coriander leaves paste and spices adds nice tang of coriander leaves and color too. Learn how to make mouth watering spicy and sour  baby potatoes recipe. This recipe is very easy and tasty.


Ingredients :
  • 1/2 kg. Baby potatoes (chhota aloo)
  • 1 small bunch fresh coriander leaves (clean and wash)
  • salt to taste
  • 6-7 garlic cloves
  • 1 small piece ginger
  • 3 green chilies 
  • 1 chopped onion 
  • 2 tbsp oil 
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds 
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice 
  • 1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds 
Method :
Wash the potatoes in water. Now in a pressure cooker add, potatoes, 1 glass of water, 1/2 tsp salt and boil it until 2 whistle and switch off the flame. After some time drain of all water and it peel of skin. Now make green masala, in a blender, add coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, green chilies and little water and make a paste. Now heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and fry baby potato till they turn light golden brown color. Now again heat 1 tsp oil in the same pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves and crackle them. Now add chopped onion and saute for 1 minute. Now add green masala paste, salt and saute for 1 minutes. Now add fried potatoes and stir for 2-3 minutes. Now turn of the flame and mix lemon juice and sesame seeds. Serve with roti, paratha, puri.
