Maida (all purpose flour) ki karela namkeen recipe

Karela Namkeen 
Ingredients :

  • 2 cups all purpose flour (Maida)
  • 1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
  • 1 tsp onion seeds ( kalonji) 
  • 4 tbsp vegetables oil 
  • 1/2 tsp black salt or normal salt 
  • oil for deep fry
Method :
In a large bowl, add all ingredients and mix well for 2 minutes. Now, add water slowly to make dough. Knead well to make it a little firm dough. ( as a puri dough). Now take a small ball out of this dough and roll a small puri and cut it vertically, but take care not to cut all sides. Do not separate  the cuttings. Now slowly roll the slit puri and gently twist both the sides to give it a karela shape and repeat the above process to make all karelas namkeen. Now fry them in medium hot oil and turn golden brown and remove in a plate.  Serve them with tea.
