Karela (Bitter gourd) stir-fry recipe

Stir-fry bitter gourd (karela)
Ingredients :

  • 250 gms. bitter gourd (karela) 
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • salt to taste 
  • 1 green chilly 
Method :
Wash the bitter gourd and chopped into slices. Now in the cooker, add bitter gourd, 1 pinch salt and some water and boil it until a whistle and remove from the gas and keep aside. Now drain off all water of boiled bitter gourd and keep aside. Now heat oil in a pan, add green chilly, onion fry till golden in color. Now add in boiled bitter gourd, turmeric powder, salt (little) mix well. Let them cook for 10 minutes on the medium flame till it and switch off the flame. Serve with Rotis and dal-rice.
