Cucumber Raita recipe

Ingredients :
Cucumber Raita 

  • 1 bowl curd (Dahi)
  • 1/2 cucumber (peeled, grated and drai all juice)
  • black salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder 
  • 1 pinch red chilly powder for garnish 
For the tempering :

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 6-8 curry leaves
  • 1 pinch asafoetida (Hing)
Method :
Whisk the curd until smooth, add the grated cucumber, salt, cumin seeds powder, black pepper powder and mix well. Now for the tempering, heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, Hing, curry leaves and crackle, add in the cucumber raita. Now sprinkle with 1 pinch red chilly powder. Serve with lunch time.
