Corn- jeera rice ( corn-cumin rice) recipe in the pressure cooker

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup Basmati rice 
  • 1+1/2 cup hot water 
  • 1 small bowl sweet corn
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 2 star anise 
  • 2 green cardamom 
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick 
  • 1 bay leaf 
  •  salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter or deshi ghee
Method :
Wash rice with water 2 time and keep aside for 30 minutes. Now heat ghee or butter in a pressure cooker, add in cumin seeds, star anise, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf  and let them crackle. Now add soak basmati rice, sweet corn, salt and fry them for 1 minute. Now add in hot water and stir. Now close the pressure cooker and let it cook till the rice cooker turns off. Now cook it 1 whistle and remove from the flame and keep aside. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid and transfer in the other utensil. Serve with dal and any cary.
