Crispy and spicy chana dal (Bengal gram) pakora recipe

Serve chana pakora with tomato sauce 
Ingredients :

  • 1 cup Bengal gram(chana dal) dal
  • 1 onion finely chopped 
  • 4 garlic cloves 
  • 2 green chilly
  • salt to taste 
  • 1 tbsp roasted cumin seeds
  • 2 pinches asafoetida(hing) 
  • 8-10 curry leaves 
  • 1/2 red chilly powder 
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Oil for frying 
Method :
Wash and soak the bengal gram (chana dal) for 5-6 hrs. In a blender, add soaked chana dal, green chilly, garlic, curry leaves and grind it. Now put them in a bowl and add onion, salt, asafoetida, chilly powder, roasted cumin seeds, turmeric powder and mix well. Now heat oil in a pan and add spoonful of chana dal mixture into oil and fry till pakora are golden brown in colour. Now remove from the hot oil on the plate and serve with any sauce or chutney.
Soak chana dal(bengal gram)
Add all ingredients in the chana dal paste 
Spoonful chana dal mixture 
Frying in oil  
Fry golden brown in colour
