Methi aur papad (fenugreek and papad) ki sabzi recipe

Cooked fenugreek seeds sabzi
This is a Rajasthani dish. This is very tasty and healthy.
Ingredients :

  • 1/2 cup fenugreek seeds(Methi dana)
  • 3 tomatoes finely chopped 
  • 2 green chilly finely chopped
  • 1 onion finely chopped 
  • 1 pinch asafoetida(Hing)
  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 pieces papad(fried or roasted)
  • 1 roasted papad for garnish
Method :
Soak fenugreek seeds for overnight or a day. After drain of all water and seeds keep aside. Heat oil in a pan, add asafoetida onion, green chilly and saute for 1 minute. Now add chopped tomatoes, salt and all spices powder and cook them for 2-3 minutes on the medium flame. Now add soak fenugreek seeds and cook them for 10 minutes on the low flame. Now add crushed papad and mix well. Now remove from the gas and garnish with broken papad. Serve with rotis, parantha etc.
