Parwal-aloo ki curry recipe

Ingredients :
  • 250 gms. parval, peeled and chopped 
  • 250 gms. potatoes(aloo)boiled,peeled and chopped
  • 2 chopped onion
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 green cardamom 
  • 1-star anise 
  • 1 tbsp deshi ghee 
  • chopped coriander leaves for garnish 

In a bowl add all spices, salt and some water mix and keep aside. Now heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add chopped parval, saute for 5 minutes and add chopped  boiled potatoes them stir for 2 minutes and remove on the plate and keep aside. Now again heat 2 tbsp oil and add cumin seeds, bay leaves,cinnamon stick,cardamom, cloves,star anise and crackle. Now add chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes, add all  mix spices liquid and saute for 2 minutes.Now add chopped tomatoes and saute for 5 minutes and now put in the pan stir parval-aloo and it saute for 2-3 minutes and add 2 bowls water and cook for 5-7 minutes. Now remove from the heat and add 1 tbsp ghee and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice,puris,paratha and rotis.

After remove from the heat add ghee
