Kathal(jackfruit)ki special curry

Ingredients :
  • 1/2 kg. jackfruit(kathal)
  • 1/2 cup onion paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic-ginger paste
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp kashmiri red  chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 tbsp oil
For batter : 
  • 1 cup soak rice batter
  • 1/2 cup gram flour(chana besan)
  • some water
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp green chilli paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • oil for fry
Fried jackfruit 
Method :
In a cooker put jackfruits slices, a glass water, 1 tbsp oil, 1/2 tsp salt and cover it with lid and cook it 1 whistle. Now allow the steam to escape before opening the lid and keep aside for cool. Now make thick batter, take all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Heat oil in a pan and fry all jackfruits slices golden brown and remove from pan and keep aside. Now again heat 4 tbsp oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaves and crackle it now put chopped onion and saute for 1 minute. Now add garlic-ginger paste saute for half minute and add onion paste saute for 2 minutes. After that add all spices, salt and 2 tbsp water and it saute for 2 minutes and put of 2 bowls water and boil it. After boiling, add fried jackfruits slices and boil for 1 minute and it cover with lid and remove from heat. Serve hot or cool with Rice.
